Dawn M. Coulson

Dawn M. Coulson is the managing partner of Epps & Coulson, LLP. Prior to being admitted to practice in California, Colorado, New York, Texas and Oregon, Ms. Coulson owned an import/export business for both Japanese and American trading companies. Ms. Coulson also holds a California Real Estate/Broker license. Ms. Coulson practices in State and Federal Court and in 2010 she was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Robert (Bob) Jenkins

Robert Jenkins is a Partner at Epps & Coulson, LLP. Mr. Jenkins is admitted to practice in both California and New York. He represents clients in business, employment, real estate, and intellectual property law. Previously, Mr. Jenkins served as head of litigation for a privately held real estate management company. In addition, he litigates in State and Federal Courts, manages risk, and serves as an arbitrator and mediator concentrating on helping clients avoid litigation where possible.

Jeffrey A. Cohen

Jeffrey Cohen serves of counsel for Epps & Coulson, LLP and is admitted to practice in California in both State and Federal Courts. Mr. Cohen’s focus is primarily in commercial and business litigation, employment law, healthcare litigation and real estate litigation. Mr. Cohen has worked for the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice in Washington, DC. and is also experienced in FINRA and securities litigation.

Lesley B. Davis

Lesley B. Davis joined Epps & Coulson, LLP as Senior Counsel . Ms. Davis is licensed to practice before all courts of The State of California and various United States District Courts. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in employment, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy matters. She has represented a number of creditors, debtors, Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Trustees in business bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation proceedings.

Kari A. Keidser

Kari A. Keidser serves as a special consultant for Epps & Coulson, LLP and is a California admitted attorney. Ms. Keidser is licensed to practice in State and Federal Court and has spent more than 20 years representing clients in litigating business, real estate, and bankruptcy disputes. Ms. Keidser serves as legal counsel for several non-profit organizations and has previously served as a Harbor Commissioner for the City of Redondo Beach for two terms.

Gabriel M. Courey

Melissa Summers-Day

Melissa Summers-Day supports Epps & Coulson, LLP as a law clerk. She is admitted to practice in State and Federal Courts in Hawaii and expects to sit for the bar in California in the spring. Before returning to California, Ms. Summers-Day worked at the Civil Rights Compliance Office for the State of Hawaii Department of Education. Her primary focus is in employment, complex healthcare litigation, bankruptcy and corporate litigation.

Brittney Samuels

Brittney Samuels is a certified paralegal for the State of California and supports Epps & Coulson, LLP with Federal and State Courts. Her experience includes real estate, employment matters, bankruptcy actions, copyright litigation and business disputes. Ms. Samuels also previously volunteered as a personal assistant, secretary, and treasure on past candidate Justin Blakely’s campaign for Compton City Council and Compton School Board for the years 2019 and 2020.

Lynnette (Lynn) Vavrek

Lynnette (Lynn) Vavrek joined Epps & Coulson, LLP as an office administrator after spending more than 40-years as a CPA in Southern California. Ms. Vavrek brings expertise in business and legal systems software and her primary role at Epps & Coulson is to ensure that all administrative functions are met to secure efficiency and compliance to company procedures and policies. Ms. Vavrek excels at her interpersonal communications with the firm’s staff and its clients.

Cory Madero

Cory Madero is a Legal Assistant at Epps & Coulson, LLP. Since joining Epps & Coulson more than seven years ago, Cory soon became the firm’s “secret weapon” with his knowledge and experience in dealing with State, Federal and Bankruptcy Courts across the nation. Mr. Madero supports our attorneys with his communication, research and writing skills on a wide variety of matters. Mr. Madero recently completed his Paralegal Certificate for the State of California and holds a Notary Public Commission.

Theresa Dolce

Theresa Dolce joined Epps & Coulson, LLP after 30 years of legal experience in the bail bond industry. Her experience has included criminal, federal and immigrations investigations and legal, which provided a broad background in real estate, administration law, contract and civil court and bankruptcy. Ms. Dolce holds a Bail Agents License, Fire, Property and Casualty Broker/Agent License and a Notary Public Commission. She supports the firm with client relations and other administrative matters.
